I, being an advisor, have found a greater sense of happiness and fulfilment in what I do, which is to help secure and change the lives of others.
Growing up, I believed that having a high-paying job and a well-known career in the legal industry was the only way to find fulfilment in life. To meet expectations, I became a Lawyer and even considered pursuing a Doctorate degree in my country.
Immigrating to Canada in 1995 I studied business administration and accounting to be able to get a new career.
To earn more money, I worked a lot of shifts, including overtime and holidays. Though the income was great, I found myself paying more in taxes and ending up with nearly the same amount of money as if I had only worked regular hours. The time I spent working tirelessly for a couple of dollars took away valuable moments I could have spent with my husband and family.
I quickly realized that this was not something I could picture myself doing: spending 30-40 years slaving away at work for a fixed amount of money in exchange for time that I could never get back. Time is a luxury that should be spent with loved ones.
Gratefully, I was introduced to financial industry in 2005, and to Greatway in 2010. I began working part-time in the business, and Greatway opened new doors for me. The income opportunity enabled me to live a comfortable life while travelling with our family.
